The fun and games are over. I'm back and well rested from my Alberta road trip. Yesterday, I had to clear up all the emails that piled up in my inbox. Today, it's back to the grind of Cyber Bully. I have to go through my notes and do some major clean up of the manuscript. Once that's done, I'll cycle through and do a punch up for humour and then a polish for flow. I should have everything ready for the end of September. Then I'll sit and wait for notes from my editor.
Some interesting news on The Bone House front. The show is doing very well in Edinburgh. Lots of people are terrified. The only sour note was one jaded critic gave the production a scathing review and tried to give away the climax in an on-line review. To their credit, the producers contacted the editor and asked that the reveal be pulled from the review. It's one thing to give a bad review; it's another to spoil the climax and ruin the experience for those audiences who might want to see the show despite the review. Thankfully, the editor saw the unprofessionalism of the critic's spoiler attempt and pulled the reveal from the review before it went to print. As a testament to the power of a review (positive or negative), last night's performance had the largest house of the entire run. I can't wait till this production gets to Edmonton.
Okay, off to work on Cyber Bully.
