Apologies for the lack of entries, but I've been on vacation and on the road. This is the first time I've found reasonable internet access.
My trip started in Jasper... very relaxing. The highlight was breakfast with a squirrel. The little guy tapped my foot and hopped on the chair to grab a piece of my bagel. The ritual was repeated several times until two crows tried to swoop down on the squirrel. I have pictures of the guy grabbing my breakfast and will post on Facebook when I get home.
The low point of the trip was the stop at the Columbia Icefield. I'm stunned at how fast and how much the glacier has receded. If you wanted to see the impact of global warming, all you need to do is look at the dwindling glacier.
Thankfully, the vacation perked up with a lovely walk in Lake Louise and a delicious meal at Fuze restaurant in Banff. It was the first time my wife and I tried a tasting menu. It was expensive, but well worth it. This morning, we rode the gondola to the top of Sulfur Mountain and walked down... we had to work off last night's meal somehow. But we packed on the calories with a decadent lunch at the Grizzly House.
Now I'm in Drumheller for the night. I'll be presenting a session at the Three Hills Library Wednesday and then touring around the area. Thursday will be a hoodoos and dinosaur day.
The great thing is that the trip has given me some good real-time research for the Sasquatch novel revisions. I have to remember to work in some Inukshuk ideas for the novel. I also am going to use some of my time Thursday to get some real-time research for the Code Breakers novel.
I love a vacation where I can get ideas/research for writing projects. Okay, off to bed.

We loved having you here! Thanks again for the fantastic presentation! The kids are still talking about it!!
